An Otter Christmas

December 30th, 2009

Christmas!!!

Yay yay YAY..Christmas was so much fun.
But firstly I have to pass on the slightly sad news that the Santa stakeout failed. Me and Teddy both put in extra effort on christmas eve to stay up. I was in fact a bit annoyed with Teddy because when I couldn’t stay up any more I made him promise to keep watch. He must have fallen asleep as when I woke up… Santa had been. I questioned Teddy as to why he had failed to follow instruction but he just gave me his usual blank expression which he always does when he’s been bad. I’ve forgiven him now, it’s Christmas and Otter keeper says you shouldn’t be angry with anyone at christmas (I’m making a concession for Kate – I’m always angry with her)

Christmas day was SO much fun, not only did I get lots of presents fron Santa but also from Otter Keeper! this meant lots of Otter presents. Santa even bought Teddy a small present which was very thoughtful, I had to open this for teddy as I think he was a bit overwhelmed (it’s hard to tell but I think he gets really excited at Christmas). You see, Not many people understand teddy because he doesnt say much. Only I really know what he thinks and sometimes I have to explain to Otter Keeper what Teddy is saying.

Anyway, the only bad thing Ive found about christmas day is brussel sprouts. They are these nasty green things and they taste exceptionally horrible if you’re an otter. Keeper thinks brussel sprouts are great (he’s so stupid). Teddy REALLY hated them and I passed this information on to Otter Keeper (teddy was really quite rude about the brussel sprouts) and Keeper got a bit cross. I told Teddy to keep a low profile for the rest of the day (he usually does any way) ….and I had to eat my sprouts. yuk. I hope whoever invented brussel sprouts (probably Kate) is happy now.

I really hope everyone else had A wonderful Christmas like me. Otter Keeper said I should take this chance to say thankyou to eveyone who reads my stories (thats probably YOU! if your reading this). We have lots planned for next year so don’t go anywhere! I would put Teddy on guard to make sure you don’t … but he’d probably just fall asleep

Otter Shop Now Open

December 15th, 2009

Finally! The Otter shop is open…(sort of)

printer

Well it’s taken me a long time but I’ve finally managed to get Otter Keeper to sell Otter prints! (and a few other things) . He said some people had been asking him recently so he wanted to offer eveyone the chance to get one for christmas if they wanted one.

Otter Keeper says he has a very special and expensive printer for just this purpose and all prints will be produced on high quality archival matt paper. I don’t know what on earth he is on about but I do like the printer because it’s really fun to sit on top of it and touch the pictures as they come out (I’m not really allowed to do this)

To visit my Otter shop just follow this link. The Otter Shop is very new so there’s not much in it yet, but Otter Keeper is adding to it on a daily basis (if you spot a print that isn’t up there yet just give him a poke). For now Otter keeper has put up a small-ish collection of my prints available in the following sizes

  • A5 = £7 + p&p (almost all are available in this size)
  • A4 = £10 + p&p (most available in this size)
  • A3 = £15 + p&p (only a few special prints are this size)

all prints are individually signed by me and Otter Keeper of course and also include a letter from me!

There are also some rather large fridge magnets available (9cm x 6cm).

You will probably need a fridge to use the fridge magnet – sadly me and Otter Keeper don’t sell these yet – but I’m working on him.

But the BEST part of all this is that Otter Keeper says I can write a little note to everyone that buys a print (and I can also help wrap them up and things – I love doing this) Otter Keeper says my job is very important.

So if you’d like to buy a print – now you can YAY! Anyone ordering from England should get prints before xmas if they order today or tomorrow. Sadly for people outside UK it may have to be an early new years present (this is all Otter Keeper’s fault for not being organised like me and getting the shop done sooner – he spends too much time buying me booster seats and silly things like that).

Waiting for Santa

December 8th, 2009

otter and santa

Santa … where are you ?

So this week I’ve been discussing christmas with Otter Keeper.
Christmas sounds really great – quite like Otter birthdays actually. He told me all about this man called Santa who can apparently come down the chimney – I didn’t like the sound of this too much at first (maybe Kate could gain access using the same methods) but it turns out besides having a few odd habits like this… Santa also brings christmas presents for Otters !!!

Santa is AMAZING! As soon as Otter Keeper told me about how kind santa is I realised I would have to make sure I got to meet him when he arrives to deliver my presents. So me and Teddy have decided to camp out until he gets here. So far I’ve found it quite hard to stay awake but I’ve left Santa instructions in case he comes when I’m asleep. I’ve also told Teddy to keep watch but he’s quite unreliable sometimes so can’t really be trusted.

Otter Keeper says Santa won’t be here for a while yet. He could be right but you never can be too sure and I don’t want to take any risks and end up missing him. Otter Keeper could also be a bit jealous because I had the idea to stay up and wait for Santa rather than him.

I can’t wait to meet Santa. I have so many things I need to tell him and he sounds so nice. I might tell him all about Kate and see if there is anything he can do. I just hope he comes soon, I really want my Otter presents (plus my nose gets quite cold when I have to keep looking up the chimney).
