The Problem with Shopping
Shopping tragedy!!
SHOPPING is really really fun. Keeper sometimes takes me on the first day of the weekend which i think is Saturday. I have to wear my harness which gets annoying but Otter Keeper says I get too excited. I love to talk to all the people (although they can’t hear me because I’m an otter – but this doesn’t bother me really)
However shopping is also a bit annoying because Otter Keeper can be really mean! He won’t let me buy things. I have explained to him many times that I NEED certain things and it’s really IMPORTANT that he gets them for me. The last shopping trip he was particularly extra mean
You see, being an Otter I need lots of things I need otter feed, I need Otter Keeper, I also need free toys from cereal packets etc But one of the most important things an otter needs are Hannah Montana posters!! Whilst shopping I found a wonderful poster (I think it had been made especially for me to put on our wall next to my basket) but (and I still find this really hard to believe because the poster was REALLY good) Otter Keeper wouldn’t let me have it!!!!
This was a few days ago But I’m still really angry with him, How would he like it if he wasn’t allowed to buy things he needed! He’s gone to work now and although I miss him… I’m going to go and hide his slippers. I hope this will teach him a lesson, then he will take me to get the poster and I shall release the slippers unharmed.
I just don’t understand, Maybe Hannah Montana did something to make him angry? Surely he understands why we needed this poster. I just hope it’s still there next week once he has realised his mistake…

Hannah Montanna!! This is a tragedy indeed XD Very cute nonetheless, poor harnessed little otter. =b
Dear Otter,
I am so glad to see another story! I happen to be a closet Hannah Montana fan myself (it’s quite embarrassing – I’ve replaced Britney Spears with her) so I’m glad you share my rather odd fascination. I’m not sure Otter Keeper will be relent after the slipper hiding tactic – I hear it’s cold in the U.K. in the mornings – but I have to admire your determination.
Lovely story and picture!
@Jimmy Lee B.

hey JImmy Lee, thanks as ever for the otter support
otter wants to know if your sleep wrinkle has gone yet
hehe i had to do a little research on hannah montanna for this one … i ended up spending about an hour on her site, it was quite fun
i was even going to email her and tell her she had an otter fan !
hope your well
@Brev
Don’t worry Brev I’ll get the poster, keeper just needs to understand how much we need it, but he will . Especially after I have those slippers
hehe, I always enjoy these little stories. To Otter, good luck on getting that poster, though it might not be wise to retaliate.
To Otter Keeper, thanks for bringing us closer into the realm of an otter. It is, by far, most interesting.
Best Wishes,
~C.M.B.
Oh I didn’t know you had a blog *silly me*
What a refreshing concept for an online journal! I’m totally going to follow these little stories. ^^
Dear Otter,
Your idea to hide keeper’s slippers is great !!! I would have done exactly the same but you always say keeper is very clever so I bet he has already found them or he is very angry and will not stop asking question till you give them back to him. I hope next time you’ll tell us where you hid them and how keeper reacted. I’m with you because there are needs humans can’t understand : we understand them when they feel sad and need our company but sometimes they don’t understand us and think we are quite strange creatures with strange feelings and instincts. You know it well : its not easy to communicate with humans !
If keeper still doesn’t want to buy you this poster why don’t you write to her on her website and tell that you are sad because you couldn’t buy it although you are sure it would brighten your day to have it and you’d dedicate her your own picture if she would do the same for you ? I’m sure she would be flattered because you would be her first otter-fan. Perhaps you could even have a photo shooting with her ! I think it would be great although I don’t know who is Hannah Montana – sorry !
Nevertheless I don’t understand why you don’t have your own money. Keeper says that she cares for all I need : feed, blanket, hairdresser, manucure and dentist etc.. but if I want to have perhaps dreadlocks or purple hair-straines, I have to pay for it from my own. Keeper gives me one euro once a week and I put it in my saving box. Sometimes she gives 10 or 20 cents more, when I helped in the household. Thanks to this, if I really, really want to have something, I can buy it and even, when keeper is nice to me, I have enough money to make her a gift. Every month keeper tells me how much I saved and I can see how I earn more and more and dream of all the things I could possibly buy in a month or in a year or in 10, 20, 100 years.
However, I find your keeper ought to buy for you something more suitable than a harness. I felt really sad as I saw you with that thick rope on the neck. You seemed so little and fragile that I feared, someone could step onto your paws and hurt you. Take care of you and let us know very soon what happened with the poster.
Lots of love
Louloute
